Rob McDougall is hoping to raise $250,000 in the next 60 days so construction can start on the SplashPark Family Recreation Park in Midway Drive.

Mr McDougall said it was hoped the six-acre sized park, which has been in the making for about two years, would open in time for next summer.

“We wanted to get that funding so we could get it started and open to the families sooner, rather than it taking a number of years before we can open up,” Mr McDougall said.

“It just seemed like a great way to kick start the business and it would be a win-win for everyone that wants to come on board and help us.”
