SUNRAYSIA Academy of Sport (SAS) athletes will now have a permanent home for training thanks to Chaffey Secondary College.
Chaffey has joined forces with the SAS to allow athletes access to the school’s gym.
SAS academy co-ordinator Deanna Kennedy said the partnership would allow athletes the opportunity to train at a top facility on a regular basis.
“All our athletes in sporting programs will be using the facility,” she said.
“So starting in mid-March we’ll have our netball and tennis programs and the athletes will be coming in here one night a week, and our golfers will be coming here once a fortnight.
“They are fantastic facilities, the gym is only a few years old and there is some great equipment in here and we’ll be adding some more equipment as well.
“It will benefit our students and the kids at Chaffey as well.”
