BENDIGObowlersbared all Mondaynight in their efforts to contribute to a good cause.

The Bendigo East Bowling Club barefoot bowls competition saw 108 people participate, with all funds going to the Kristy Thomson appeal.

Tournament director Steve Fuller said the event was part of the club’s efforts to contribute to the community.

“Part of our brief is to be community-minded,” he said.

Bowlerswere in teams of three, consisting of one experienced player and two novices.

“It’s interesting; there’s a lot to learn,” he said.

“I’ll probably be back.”
